Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985. Her birthplace was Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her ability to sprint when she was at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after her first attempt. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. After that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was named the world's youngest champion in the 200-meter race. She defended the title for the second time in 2007 by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished among the top three in all events.
